This candidate must have strong SQL DB experience since this position as primarily back-end/database testing.
Responsibilities:
- Participate in establishing the QA Lab environment and methodology
- Bring the technical and non-technical skills of a QA technical lead
- Analyze requirements in partnership with Application Development, Data Management, and Product Development teams
- Allocate resources to multiple projects and help resolve resource contentions and testing priorities
- Develop test strategies, test plans, and test cases
- Monitor and report on test case execution
- Lead product integration testing with third party vendors
- Identify strategies, partners, and tools to support test case automation. Drive test automation initiatives
- Define and develop performance testing metrics, test cases, scripts, and automation
- Generate product test coverage analysis and establish and implement plans for increasing test coverage
- Consult on necessary hardware environments to support and extend local testing and UAT
- Recommend tools to improve QA productivity
- Measure, track, and report on product quality and team productivity metrics and benchmarks
- Generate QA tasks and durations for project estimates
- Certify all product releases
- Support identification and resolution of production issues
Qualifications (Must Have):
- B.S. in Computer Science, Engineering or equivalent experience.
- 5 to 7 years of experience leading project QA analysis
- Experience testing and managing testing of client server and web based applications
- Experience in developing test strategies, test plans, and test cases
- Experience in test automation initiatives, services, and tools
- Experience using Mercury, Quality Center test automation tools or equivalent
- Experience defining testing tasks and creating effort estimates
- Experience conducting load, stress, limit, and testing
- Experience using defect tracking and source control systems
- Experience improving processes and efficiencies
- Strong technical foundation in client server and web based applications
- Strong written and verbal skills
- strong analytical and problem solving skills
- Strong team and leadership skills
- Ability to Travel up to 25%
Qualifications (Nice to Have):
- Experience with Software Development tools and methodology – JAVA, .NET coding, T-SQL, Rules Engine (Drools, Corticon, etc), Data mapping
- Experience with C# .NET, ASP.NET Web Application Development
