Position: ETL testing

Location: Northbrook, IL

Duration: 6+ months

Job Description:

The Quality Analyst will be responsible for executing activities involving participating as a team member with the appropriate business and technology stakeholders for the data elements assigned in a given project or initiative by working with the sponsors of the project.  Within the scoped project the  Quality Analyst will leverage the approved methodology and tools to identify, analyze and investigate data for the value and accuracy relative to a particular asset as well as a given data element. 

In addition, this role will contribute to the process for communication with stakeholders, validating the data quality and data profiling results and participating in the data investigation workshops. The Quality Analyst is the responsible party for participation and contribution of data quality and data profiling aspects. 

Primary Objectives

•         Participation in Data Profile Analyses

•         Contributions for Data Profiling and Data Quality Work Sessions

•         Execution of design, define, implement, consolidate and refine the outputs of Data Profiling and Data Quality Work Sessions

•         Validation and execution of quality metrics, observations and outcomes to both senior leadership and core team members

•         Participation in data quality investigation and root cause analysis

•         Participation in presentation of data quality outputs and data profiling results

•         Execute  Data Profiles

•         Develop business rules

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

•         Must be able to work independently

•         Participation in small core teams

•         Strong written and verbal communication skills in English

•         Strong profiling skills (must be able to create profiles with the assistance of a data profiling toolset and manually in SQL)

•         Experience with Visio, Sharepoint and MS Project

•         Experience with at least 1 Data Profiling toolset (IDQ)

•         Ability to lead meetings on your own

•         Prior consulting experience is a plus

Education and Experience

•         Bachelor's degree

•         MBA or graduate degree is a plus

•         Insurance or Financial Services experience is desired

•         3+ years experience in an data profiling and/or data quality role is required

•         3+ years experience with a data profiling toolset

•         3+ years experience in data environments
