Our client is looking for help with their build automation environment.  We need someone to look at the build automation environment they have today and help improve the build automation process.  

Skills:

- Must have experience with MS (Microsoft) build or something identical.

- Must have experience with Team Foundation Services (TFS)

Must have experience with batch files

Position Summary

The Firmware Release engineer is responsible for designing and implementing of build automation and other scripts needed to support the development of company's hardware products. The engineer will need to understand how to build the final binaries, the tools needed to build the binary as well as other best practices with respect to release management. The engineer is expected to participate in the designing of solutions that meet needs,, document the design, write clear concise code/scripts, comment code/scripts as appropriate, and create documentation outlining code functionality. All engineers are required to follow Brady's development process which includes our iterative development process.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

·  Design, develop, code, and document build automation scripts as part of projects.

·  Time estimate efforts for assigned deliverables.

·  Work with Firmware  and SQA Engineers to develop the needed build automation and scripts for assigned deliverables

·  Utilize Microsoft's MSBuild, Visual Studio Team Services/Team Foundation Server and Microsoft Build Definitions.

·  Setup scripts that automate the process of building the shipping binary.

·  Identify other industry best practices that should be introduced into the Brady development and release management process.

Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

·  Minimum degree in Bachelors of Science in Computer Engineering, related field or equivalent experience.

·  Knowledge of Microsoft MSbuild

·  Knowledge of Microsoft Visual Studio Team Services/Team Foundation Server

·  Knowledge of Microsoft Build Definitions

·  Knowledge of other scripting engines like Python, Microsoft Power Shell

·  Knowledge of Visual Basic or C#.

·  Knowledge of VB..net and C# programming

·  Knowledge of Xaml templates used by Visual Studio Team Services
