Job Description:
The consultant(s) will be responsible for project oversight and establishing a ProjectManagement Office (PMO) throughout the life of the project. The purpose of the PMO is to help ensure the project is meeting its desired goals, it adheres to internally documented or recognized industry standards and guidelines, and that the stakeholders in the process are effectively involved and aligned.
Responsibilities:
Develop the statement of need
Establish a PMO and create the model, charter, and project management plan
Provide support for procurement of a system integrator, including development of a procurement document for obtain a systems integrator
Provide project management
Compile overall project purpose through review of existing documentation including gap analysis, HB 1263, other documentation, and conversations with Department staff
Work with the Department to understand and assess the risks associated with the project
Draft project approach, charter, schedule, timeline, work breakdown structure, and budget to support project
Identify all related stakeholders
Required Skills:
Experience with VERSA systems
Experience in procurement support in government agencies
Project Management experience with government agencies on large scale projects
Experience in formal project management 2+ years required
Group facilitation for business and systems analysis 2+ years required
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Ability to communicate effectively with technical and user staff
Education/Experience:
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration or other related field
5 years of IT experience
Previous experience providing project oversight or serving as a PMO
consultant
