Job Description:

We are currently seeking a Cloud Systems Engineer, Cloud Infrastructure Operations to join our growing organization.  We are looking for a candidate that thrives in a dynamic, fast-paced environment. This position manages day-to-day global infrastructure services. This includes all infrastructure inclusive of data centers, multi-platform servers, storage, hypervisors and cloud services, and business continuity services.  Additional roles include recruiting, development, retention and management of staff and effective Transition, Continuity, Configuration and Problem Management to ensure optimal service delivery.

Essential Functions / Major Responsibilities:

·         Design and implement short- and long-term strategic improvement plans to ensure infrastructure services meet utility and warranty requirements and target service levels.

·         Document current standards and drive the collaborative development of IT to-be service strategies and solutions (process, people and technology) for the management, improvement and growth of the infrastructure and to meet specific application, support, compliance and security requirements based on industry best practices.

·         Develop, implement, and maintain operational policies, procedures, runbooks and associated training plans for the service desk (NOC/SOC), infrastructure administration and infrastructure project management based on industry-standard best practices and ISO27001-5 and SSAE 16 requirements.

·         Conduct research and make recommendations on standards, products and services in support of all infrastructure procurement and development efforts.

·         Participate in strategic planning, tactical operation planning, and the development of security, compliance and contingency operation plans for RMS' information Infrastructure.

·         Oversee all information systems infrastructure monitoring and analysis tools and processes for  infrastructure and provide performance statistics, metrics and reports

·         Manage operational costs; conduct near- and long-term financial forecasts for expanded functionality/user base.

·         Establish and maintain regular written and in-person communications with the organization's executives, decision-makers, stakeholders, department heads, and end users regarding pertinent infrastructure activities.

·         Practice IT asset management, including maintenance of component inventory and related documentation.

·         Lend expertise to internal teams and task forces.

·         After-hours and weekend work as required to support data center changes during off-hours.

Specific Job Requirements:

·         8+ years of relevant experience with a Bachelor's degree in a related field

·         Excellent management and mentoring skills

·         5+ years of experience interfacing global teams

·         Must have experience with designing, deploying and supporting virtual clouds

·         Excellent diagnostic and troubleshooting skills

·         Good understanding of network Layer 2 and 3 Protocols

·         Strong experience with Symantec AV, Windows, Okta, AD Federation Services, Cloud SaaS, IaaS & PaaS, VMWare vSphere, OpenStack, CentOS, EMC, NetApp, Hitachi, Isilon storage, Cisco UCS, and others.

·         Technical storage engineering expertise with SAN, NAS, tape libraries, Commvault backup

·         Good understanding of the organization's goals and objectives.

·         Strong customer service orientation.

·         Proven analytical and problem-solving abilities.

·         Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment.

·         Strong interpersonal and oral communication skills.

·         Adept at reading, writing, and interpreting technical documentation and manuals.

Job Requirement & Technical Skills Required:

·         Performance Test Engineering

·         Experience in Devise End-to-End Performance Test Strategy after understanding the Application and Technology landscape.

·         Detailed Performance Test Planning and tracking.

·         Analysis of Production logs and net tracker for deriving the best performance model.

·         Experience in minimum 4protocols of Load Runner.

·         Experience in 2 more tools like Jmeter, Neoload, Silk Performer, VSTS

·         Planning the execution cycles with appropriate backup/restore strategies

·         Monitoring at all tiers of application Web, Application and Database tier minimum.

·         Diagnosing monitor at 4 levels viz Infrastructure, OS platform, Server platform and Application.

·         Application Profiling expertise either on JVM (or) CLR including stack trace, memory management, CPU cycles, thread of execution.

·         Preparing detailed performance test report with level-1, level-2 and level-3 observations (on transaction counters, server hardware performance counters, Mid-tier and database performance statistics).

Performance Testing

·         Performance Testing- Knowledge on Performance Testing Life cycle.

·         Proficient in writing the Performance test cases.

·         Scripting in any one Performance Testing tool (Load Runner, Jmeter, Neoload) on HTTP protocol.

·         Experience in Web scripting correlation.

·         Performance Test Execution.

·         Preparing the basic Performance Test Report with the observations.

·         Experience in using Diagnostics tool to identify bottlenecks at various tiers of Application

·         Proficient in any two Application Servers (for Java or .NET) and one Database Server on Performance nuances

·         Proficient in Authoring Performance Test Reports.

·         Good Experience in doing Test Estimation.

Load Runner

·         Experience in Load Runner Vu Gen, Controller and Analysis module.

·         Demonstrate experience in analysis of results, identification of bottle necks and recommendation of solutions

·         Knowledge and experience on Load Runner Virtual User Generator for creating scripts using atleast one protocol(preferably Web).

·         Knowledge and experience on Load Runner Controller for building and executing the performance test scenarios.

·         Knowledge and experience in developing reports using Load Runner Analysis.

JVM Performance Testing

Silk Performer

·         Ability to script using BDL language

·         Execute on the Injectors

·         Parse the HTTP responses

Planning

·         Understanding of planning concepts (Operation / Strategic Planning)

·         Trained and Understands key functionalities of BPS / IP / BPC.

·         Creation of Simple data model with data input.

·         Planning function basics.

·         Creation and using Excel based planning applications.

Position: Tomcat/Webpshere Admin (Scripting experience is a must)
