Experience / Exposure (Recommended):

• Extensive experience in an IT financial general ledger leadership/manager role (10 or more years)
• Subject matter expert in general ledger in the financial services industry
• IT Leadership experience in one or more large scale global general ledger implementations of SAP or Oracle
• Extensive experience in managing IT applications/projects (10 or more years)
• Strong group consolidation and regulatory reporting experience
• Superior communication, analysis/problem solving & stakeholder management skills

The Program Manager for Finance IT is responsible for managing all aspects general ledger, group consolidation, and regulatory reporting IT programs.  Programs consist of complex information technology project or multiple, medium-scale IT projects from original concept through final implementation and has overall responsibil ity for ensuring on-time and on-budget delivery of new and enhanced business capabilities.

 The Program Manager also ensures that projects are aligned with established IT standards and strategies. Program Managers also establish and communicate goals and direct team activities; build relationships with day to day clients; and may have oversight responsibilities for team contributors.

Tasks / Responsibilities:

• Responsible for the end-to-end management of (large scale) general ledger, group consolidation & regulatory reporting IT projects and programs.
• Monitor and manage the critical path, contingencies, scope changes and budget, both labor and non-labor resources.
• Responsible for project plans, milestones, measures, budgets, team and stakeholder communication, resource and time management.
• Defines and establishes appropriate governance structures and processes to drive the program/project.
• Forms and manages teams by organizing resources and skills effectively against tasks.
• Identify and manage risks and issues within the project and at a program level, and escalate appropriately.
• Establish / operate within the governance (decision-making) structure for the program/project.
• Ensure successful transition to production/steady-state environment.
