Job Description:
Relevant Experience (Yrs) : 4+ years
Technical/Functional Skills :
Candidates whose background and expertise satisfy most of the following selection criteria are sought:
• Degree, majoring in Computer Science/Information Systems, with a minimum of 4 years relevant experience
• Software Development Life Cycle Experience
• Oncall activity and weekend schedule activity
• Strong skills in IBM Information server Datastage 8.1, UNIX, SQL, Troubleshooting and performance tuning of ETL jobs
• Experience in Designing & Estimating, Developing, Scheduling, Documenting and Testing of ETL Data Stage Jobs
• Expert in ETL jobs design with Database stages, Message queues, XML stages, lookup, join, Sort, Remove duplicate, Aggregator, Funnel, Transformer, Configuration file, Restartable Sequences with execute command, mail notification and exception handling, stored procedure stages, datasets and sequential files.
• Proficient in dimensional modeling. Design of Conformed facts and dimensions, Data profiling and data cleaning and Data Integration. Slowly Changing Dimension (SCD) implementation, surrogate key assignment, Design of job control techniques and Incremental load criteria, design of data marts with degenerate dimensions, Reconciliation of data
• Basic experience in Cognos reporting
• Proven conceptual, analytical and judgmental skills
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Experience Required • 4 yrs Development experience in the technologies specified
Roles & Responsibilities : • Support and enhancement of Datastage
Generic Managerial Skills :
• Good verbal and written communication skills
• Excellent Team skills (including working in Onsite – offshore model)
• Flexibility to work.
