Position: GIS/SmallWorld Programmer/Analyst
Location :Berlin, CT.
Duration: 12 + months
These skills may be acceptable in lieu of 'SmallWorld': ESRI, MapInfo, InterGraph.
The candidate will support the GE SmallWorld geospatial application. Demonstrable experience with the application is required.
Specific tasks:
- Maintain and support the SmallWorld application
- Develop and install customizations
- Create and modify interfaces
- Installing and testing new releases and patches
- End user support
The environment is moderate except when there is an issue. In certain situations response time is critical.
Required Senior Level Skills in:
- Oracle, VDMS (SmallWorld proprietary)
- Java, Magik (SmallWorld proprietary)
Must be a good communicator; team player - ability to interact with team members and users at the CT location; ability to complete assignments on-time, within budget and with limited supervision.
