Job Title: Oracle Applications DBA

Location:        Philadelphia, PA

Duration:       Long term

 

Work activities

 

·         On-going Oracle E-Business Production Support

·         Standard Requests

·         Code Migration

·         Configuration/Personalization

·         Concurrent Manager Configuration

·         Oracle E-Business Patching (DB Tier and Application Tier)

·         Performance trouble shooting and enhancement

·         System trouble shooting

·         User provisioning (DB and Apps Tier)

·         Standard Maintenance

·         Backup/Restore assurance (Verification of Backups – Ad hoc Backups) using Oracle RMAN and Commvault

·         Operating System Patching,

·         Oracle E-Business System Recycling

·         Cloning

·         SDLC environments refresh (planned and emergency)

 

Skills/experience REQUIRED of the assigned staff:

 

• 6  years of relevant work experience.
• In-depth technical knowledge of network, PC, and platform operating systems, including WINDOWS, Linux and UNIX.
• Experience with SDLC and Assurance processes.
• Understanding of general IT architecture: network, firewalls, storage, web applications,  ftp servers, application servers, etc.
• Good written and oral communication skills.
• Good technical architecture and technical support documentation skills.
• Good  interpersonal and consultative skills.
• Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment.
• Ability to work in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.
• College degree in the field of computer science, information systems, or computer engineering.
• Certifications: Oracle Certified Professional (DBA or Apps).
