Solution IT Inc. is looking for an Business Objects Administration for one of its clients in Bristol ,CT.
| Job Title | Business Objects Administration | ||
| Description | A Business Objects Administrator with infrastructure administration experience (business objects installation, configuration, and deployment experience etc.). In this role, you will oversee the administration of the Business Objects, Metadata, Life Cycle Management, Xcelsius, and runtime environments. You will be able to make a big impact with responsibility for planning and executing periodic maintenance of the BO solution in addition to recommending and executing software upgrades and patches. | ||
| Scope & Responsibilities | · Maintain Business Objects environments with installation, configuration, patching, upgrade, monitoring, and backup responsibilities. · Plan and perform environment consolidation, reduction, and optimization. -Manage and track Business Objects and associated tool license usage, provide input for long range licensing plans and optimization. · Partner with enterprise architecture and application teams to create conceptual designs, detailed technical specifications, and technical documentation to design Business Objects solutions. · Managing security -Working through a root/cause analysis and following up on action items -Applying patches and upgrades as necessary · Managing promotions of reports through the development, test and production processes · You will work in 8 hour shifts between 8:00AM - 5:00PM. Some remote weekend support on an on call rotation will be involved. | ||
| Required Skills | · Minimum 5+ years of experience working as a Business Objects Administrator (content and server) on Business Objects Xi31 or greater. · Meta data management. · Business Objects universes -Report development. · Business Objects clustering. -BOE SDK (Connectivity with BOE only) -BOE SSO Authentication w\ Siteminder -Oracle. · v 10 Exposure with the below technologies will be considered a plus: -APOS -Microstrategy version 8 and above -Data warehousing concepts -ETL Tools such as Informatica, Data stage or Business Objects Data Integrator -Windows 2003 skills Must Have: · CMC- Central Management Console · CMS- Central Management Services · CCM- Central Configure Management | ||
