Role: Senior PowerBuilder Developer

Location: Philadelphia, Pennsylvania

Description

Senior PowerBuilder developer able to interact with the client teams, understand the detailed requirements for modification of older, vendor unsupported versions of PowerBuilder Applications, and design comprehensive test cases to validate that the developed code meets those requirements. Prior experience creating test case requirement documentation is a must as is the ability to work independently with little direct, day-to-day supervision. Review, debug and assess quality of the PowerBuilder application reporting components within the existing application infrastructure. Document results and interact with client team and take ownership of key deliverables. Extensive interaction with client project managers and technical experts and the ability to coordinate project deliverables and milestones within a complex enterprise application is required.

 

Requirements:

 

·         7+ years in the entire PowerBuilder development life cycle

·         At least 5+ years' advanced expertise in development and unit testing of automated reports

·         3+ years with Experience with HP Quality Center

·         7+ + years with MS Office, Visio, MS Project

·         Candidate must have excellent communication skills and experience following the software development lifecycle (SDLC)

 

Nice to Have:

 

·         Knowledge in the Group Insurance industry and understanding of its terminology is a plus

 

Education:

 

BA in Computer Science or demonstrated deep experience in PowerBuilder
