Sr. Windows Administrator –Systems Management                                                                                                                                                                            

A top investment bank in NYC is looking for a SQL Server developer to join their team.

 

While strong sql server development skills will be the most important thing for this role, finance experience is a must for this role!

 

This ideally includes a general understanding of the financial markets and financial products, including 2+ years experience working with trading/front office systems; Credit Risk; Market Risk or Regulatory Reporting systems.

Main Duties

 

• Work closely with technical leads and developers to design and implement SQL Server solutions.

 

• Troubleshoot performance and functional problems on development, testing and production environments.

 

• Drive database design from business and functional requirements. Write technical specifications and support documentation.

 

Person Requirements

 

• Expert SQL Server developer with 5+ years experience including relational database design; DDL; TSQL; stored procedures; partitioning and performance tuning.

 

• Experienced working with large databases (~800GB). Proven track record of producing high-performance databases via tuning and optimisation.

 

• General understanding of the finance markets and financial products, including 2+ years experience working with trading/front office systems; Credit Risk; Market Risk or Regulatory Reporting systems.

 

• Excellent understanding of the full SDLC lifecycle including both waterfall and iterative methodologies.
