Position: Integration Architect
Location: Rockville, MD
Duration: Long Term
Responsibilities:
• Lead definition of an enterprise integration strategy for the company, including definition of standards, guidelines and best practices for application-to-application and business-to-business integrations.
• Influence and guide external Service Provider in implementation of the strategy, providing guidance and review of Service Provider's architecture plans and designs to ensure methodology, best practices and standards are followed and to ensure overall quality of the integration solution.
• Drive standardization of common business objects and ensure integration solutions are architected for reusability.
• Lead definition and implementation of enterprise service-oriented architecture (SOA) strategy.
• Develop an understanding of company's global business strategies (OBS) and contribute to development of an application rationalization roadmap specifically focusing on integration and SOA opportunities.
• Demonstrate the ability to lead and influence across multiple levels of the organization and with internal and external team members.
• Contribute as a Lead team member of the Enterprise Architecture Council, ensuring this high-performing team coordinates delivery with enterprise strategies and roadmaps that are integrated and aligned with the business strategy.
• Adhere to company's operational policies procedures and compliance guidelines.
• Maintain awareness of industry trends and best-practices within the enterprise integration and SOA environments in order to introduce innovation and ensure cost-effectiveness of standards and strategies.
• Develop and maintain relationships with a variety of internal and external IT experts and specialists (solution architects, project managers, external solutions providers) to provide leadership and technical guidance, continuously expanding the knowledge and capabilities of EAI and SOA.
