Strom Lead Developer

About Position:

Seeking experienced professional with extensive experience in designing and developing large scale analytics infrastructure/platform using NoSQL DB technologies like Strom. 

Responsibilities:

·         Partner with technical leads and managers on project needs

·         Work with functional team/ Frameworks team to understand requirements and translate them to technical specifications

·         Perform PoC's. Use his or her extensive experience to demonstrate solutions, best practices etc

·         Perform analysis and design pertinent to the requirements and provide solution approaches

·         Collaborate with Business, PM, and other technology team

·         Architect, Design, Develop Applications and/Or Frameworks using Cassandra and other NoSQL DB technologies

·         Perform Analysis, Design, Coding, Testing , implementation and Support activities.

Mandatory Skills:

·         Strong experience with large scale Cassandra environments including design, configuration, installation, capacity planning, capacity management, and performance tuning/monitoring/alerting/self-healing



·         Strong development experience in Java and Linux environment, Scripting languages etc

·         Excellent SQL Skills

·         Experience in working directly with technology team

·         Should be very Analytical with ability understand and interpret the business data

·         Strong oral and written communication including ability to create Keynote/PowerPoint presentations  

·         Experience in working with onsite-offshore teams

Preferred Skills:

·         Experience in one or more of Sales, Finance, Retail and CRM domains

·         Experience in BI Domain and Tools

·         Hands-on experience with the overall Hadoop eco-system (Cascade, Pig/Hive, HDFS, Map Reduce, Zookeeper, Hbase etc

·         Knowledge and experience with parallel ETL tools
- Experience developing large-scale system software. Participated in the entire product life cycle: design, implementation, testing, deployment and maintenance.
 

Qualification : Bachelors or Masters in Computer Science or Engineering with relevant industry experience

Experience :  7+ plus years
