Must Have Skills:
- Must have experience managing Symantec NetBackup environments across multiple locations.
- Must have experience with Backup and Recovery protocols (File, Database, NDMP, RMAN, snapshots)
- Must have experience managing Disk based backup systems.
- Must have extensive experience with Oracle RMAN backup integration.
- Must have experience working with VMWARE, LINUX and Windows 2008
- Must have experience with NFS Version 4 production.
- Must have experience programming in Perl and Shell scripting.
- Must have 'Strong' interpersonal and communication skills (verbal and written);
- Must have experience writing systems documentation and procedures; a disciplined approach to change management processes.
- Familiarity with most operating system commands/utilities on Linux (Red Hat, Debian) and SUN Solaris.
- A 4-year college degree or equivalent experience
NICE TO HAVE:
- 5+ years of experience managing Tape silo and LTO technologies.
- Familiarity with Red Hat and Debian Linux distributions .
