ETL DEVELOPER.. SSIS/SQL
General Summary/Overview Statement:
This position will be responsible for working on various systems and projects that support physician groups and its managed care activities. Works independently to manage small to medium systems enhancement projects and/or as part of a project team involved in long-term project.
Responsibilities:
· Perform small to large scale database development and programming.
· Create or adapt ETL processes to accommodate changes in source systems and new business user requirements.
· Execute monthly production ETL procedures and ensure data is made available in accordance with the monthly production calendar.
· Perform database maintenance and performance tuning. This includes writing scripts to create/modify tables, views, indexes, and other database objects.
· Coordinate the implementation of vendor applications/upgrades within the business intelligence environment and understand the capabilities of vendor products.
· Provide user support and resolve issues with systems and deliverables.
· Provide education, training and documentation, both formal and informal, for users and technical staff, on existing and new data warehouse systems.
· Provide business/systems analysis in support
. Assists users by providing assistance in definition and documentation of requirements for changes/enhancements to existing data warehouse systems and those in process of being implemented.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
· BS/BA Degree
· 3-5 years' progressive experience working with system "Life Cycle" phases (functional specifications, technical specifications, coding, testing, training, etc.)
· Excellent technical and analytical skills
· Detailed knowledge of relational databases
· Experience with Oracle and/or SQL Server database development
· Experience with IBM DataStage or similar ETL software
· Excellent communication skills
· Experience working in health care
