POSITION PURPOSE: 
Support and development of web based and .NET applications, and web services. Interface with management, business analysts, project managers, IT Architects and other developers, along with internal customers, to understand requirements and develop needs according to business requirements.  

PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: 
§ Maintain current applications, including, but not limited to, bug fixes, feature enhancements and performance tuning 
§ Troubleshoot and debug complex issues; identify and implement solutions 
§ Lead and mentor less senior developers 
§ Work with a team to create detailed project specifications, requirements and estimates 
§ Ensure tasks/projects are completed on time and within scope 
§ Work with production operations department to ensure deployments roll out smoothly and customer group receives appropriate support 
§ Research and implement new technologies to enhance current processes, security and performance 
§ Document validation of design decisions 
§ Develop and enforce policy and procedural changes within the development group 
§ Develop coding standards and adhere to best practices and security guidelines 
§ Lead code reviews 
§ Work closely with software architects to ensure decisions meet long-term enterprise growth needs 
§ Develop and provide support for a limited number of applications 

QUALIFICATIONS: 
§ Undergraduate degree in CS/CE/CIS/MIS/Engineering/Technology or related field or equivalent experience and/or training 
§ 5+ years total development experience 
§ 3 + years Web Application experience 
§ Solid development skills with XML,.NET, Python, SQL, HTML, javaScript, and other web development technologies 
§ Experience with .NET web services, WCF, WPF and applications 
§ Knowledge of PCI Compliance / OWASP standards 
§ Extensive knowledge of object oriented programming 
§ Extensive knowledge of common data structures and algorithms 
§ Extensive knowledge of design patterns and best practices 
§ Knowledge of design patterns and best practices 
§ Ability to scrutinize applications and services to ensure they adhere to security standards 
§ Networking knowledge (Sockets, TCP/IP, UDP) 
§ Ability to lead and mentor less experienced co-workers 
§ Excellent verbal and written communication skills 
§ Ability and willingness to provide 24x7 production support, as assigned 
§ Knowledge of Visual Studio preferred 
§ Experience with diagnostics tools (Tealeaf, Fiddler, IE Inspector, HTTP Analyzer) preferred 
§ Microsoft Team Foundation Server (TFS) experience preferred 
§ Knowledge of airline business systems preferred
