Job Description

Required Experience: 

- 5+ years modeling data in a Data Warehousing Oracle environment 
- 5+ years modeling data for visualization tools such as Tableau or Cognos 
- Hands-on experience troubleshooting poor performing queries by analyzing explain plans and making recommended model and database changes

- 3+ years exposure to Big Data environments (minimum 50-100 million rows in fact data) 
- Hands-on experience applying aggregation and indexing techniques to improve the performance in an Oracle environment

- In-depth understanding of Oracle database statistics gathering practices 
- 5+ years Hands-on experience PL-SQL in an Oracle environment 
- In-depth understanding of the various types of JOINing and when each is applied 
- In-depth understanding of parallelism, partition maintenance, materialized views in an Oracle environment 
- 2-3 years Application DBA experience 
- Experience in full life cycle implementation of data warehouses from gathering detail business requirements and translate them into technical requirements through implementation, data warehouse standards and procedures 

- Experience with Oracle 11G running on Exadata preferred 
- Must be able to multitask efficiently and progressively and work comfortably in an ever-changing data environment 

- Strong analytical and problem solving skills 
- 1-2 years experience working in Agile development software methodology 
- Must work well in a team environment as well as independently 
- Excellent verbal/written communication and problem solving skills; ability to communicate information to a variety of groups at different technical skill levels
