Oracle PL/SQL developer

Seeking candidates for an Oracle PL/SQL Developer position with a strategic client in the Corporate and Investment Banking Industry in Jersey City, NJ. The scope of the project involves Oracle development services for investment banking regulatory projects.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide database design recommendations meeting the usability, scalability, and performance requirements

• Develop and enhance Packages, Procedures, Functions, Triggers, Views with strong expertise in Pl/SQL Programming

• Evaluate changes and perform impact analysis

• Work with functional staff to establish and clarify requirements

• Investigates and corrects software defects and analyzes and maintains data quality

• Prepares comprehensive documentation and ensures timely completion of assigned work

Required Skills:

• 5-8 years' experience with PL/SQL , Oracle database and related technologies

• 3+ years' of experience in Relational database concepts, relational logical modeling, best practices, and physical design

• Robust knowledge of performance tuning

• Experienced in working with Unix and Ctrl-M jobs

• Expertise in developing complex Stored Procedures, Functions, Packages

• Should have Capital markets background

• Knowledge of ETL (Informatica is preferred) is desired

• Strong communication skills

• Strong data analysis and design skills

• Should have worked in complex Oracle platforms involving optimization

• Ability to work in agile kind of environment

• Strong client facing skills

• Ability to handle teams working in multiple sites (onsite, offshore, near shore)

• Understanding of Collateral business domain is a value add

ESSENTIAL SKILLS REQUIRED

• 5-8 years' experience

• Experience in PL/SQL , Oracle and related technologies

NONESSENTIAL SKILLS DESIRED

The following skills are desirable for this opportunity:

• Understanding of capital markets and investment banking regulations is a value add

EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS

Bachelor of Science in Computer Science or a related degree

SELLING POINTS

Corporate Brokerage / Investment banking/ regulatory projects experience

Good communication

Expertise with ETL, preferably Informatica
