Position Details:

Location:             Cranston, RI

Role:                    System Asset Management Specialist

Duration:              9+ months

Client:                  NGEN

Responsibilities:

Candidate would be expected to perform work in the following areas and independently manage personal assignments.
 
Systems Asset Management
 - Support project procurement and maintenance renewals
 - Support project licensing compliance
 
Systems Configuration Management
 - Create/maintain installation procedures for servers and desktops used by project
 - Create/maintain installation automation where appropriate
 
Systems Availability
 - Create/maintain operational procedures for servers and desktops used as part of solution
 - Create/maintain Operational automation where appropriate

Experience in the following required skills:

• Microsoft Windows Server administration
• Custom .NET distributed application development
• Visual Studio Team System / Team Foundation Server / Team Build
• Microsoft Click-Once deployments
• Microsoft SQL Server 2012+
• Microsoft PowerShell scripting (Some form of scripting experience is essential)
• Understanding of enterprise storage and networking
• General knowledge of backup/recovery solutions and monitoring solution
• Strong client facing experience and interpersonal skills
• Exceptional verbal and written communication with clients and technical staff in English
• Skills and personal characteristics that enable successful relationship building with a variety of management and client personnel
• Capable of giving attention to detail while still understanding and dealing with the global aspects of the project
• Experience with script development, execution and automation
• Bachelor's degree in area of specialty
