Job Description

·         As a member of a small, agile team, the Lead Mobile Applications Developer provides hands-on delivery of mobile applications to support Matrix's chronic care services.

·         This role implements architecture-centric solutions in addition to providing guidance to the developers in delivering solutions that adhere to and meet the strategic objectives set by the Architect and IT Leadership.

Job Responsibilities

·         Design, develop, & test mobile applications built with HTML5/Hybrid Mobile and/or iOS

·         Write code and thoroughly test ensuring it is secure and defect-free

·         Troubleshoot/support issues in development and production systems

·         Integrate mobile solutions with existing software systems 

·         Provides development estimates and participates in project planning

·         May lead a team of developers, to ensure that the project is successfully completed

·         Peer mentoring experience of more junior team members

·         Ensures adherence to standards for self as well as team

·         Responsible for facilitating design reviews with peers and cross functional team

·         Requirement reviews to insure they are comprehensive for design hand off

·         Review test plans to provide input

·         Report status and escalate issues/risks to Sr. Project Manager for reporting and risk mitigation

·         Keep abreast of the current technologies and technological trends

·         Learn and prototype new technologies, and recommend their use in the company products

·         Other duties as assigned

Job Requirements

·         Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field

·         5+ years of experience in designing, developing and deploying web and/or mobile applications

·         3+ years of experience using Hybrid Mobile Application Frameworks (PhoneGap preferred) and/or Native Mobile Development on iOS, Android

·         Development of at least one app that is available on Google Play or the Apple App Store is preferred

·         Experience using JS-frameworks such as JQuery

·         Experience/knowledge of XML, JSON, HTML5, CSS, HTTP

·         Experience/knowledge MS SQL Server

·         Creating web services (SOAP/RESTful)

·         Ability to turn business requirements into implemented technical design and solutions

·         Individual must be a self-starter and capable of working independently as well as part of a team

·         Experience interfacing with SQL server database

·         Excellent written and verbal communication skills

·         Demonstrated experience of estimation and planning

·         Understanding of project management concepts and techniques required

·         Demonstrated abilities to successfully document and communicate software designs of complex systems

·         Ability to maintain effective working relationships across teams and with a diverse workforce

·         Able to represent the Company in a positive and professional manner.
