UI Engineer
Position: Contract
Location : Seattle, WA
Apex Systems, part of On Assignment the 2nd largest IT staffing Solutions firm in the country has an opportunity for a UI Engineer role in Seattle, WA.
The pay rate is flexible depending on experience.
Here are the details:
Description of Project for UI Engineer:
Design, develop, document, test, and debug new and existing software systems and/or applications for market sale or large-scale proprietary software for internal use.
Serve as technical expert on development projects.
Participate in full development life cycle including requirements analysis and design.
Write technical specifications based on conceptual design and stated business requirements.
Support, maintain and document software functionality.
Identify and evaluate new technologies for implementation.
Analyze code to find causes of errors and revise programs as needed.
Participate in software design meetings and analyze user needs to determine technical requirements.
Consult with end user to prototype, refine, test and debug programs to meet needs.
Recognized as expert in field, knowledgeable of emerging trends and industry practices.
Conducts the most complex and vital work critical to the organization.
Works without supervision with complete latitude for independent judgment.
May mentor less experienced peers and display leadership as needed.
This is a new position to help with additional work flow.
Required Skills for UI Engineer:
5+ years' of professional experience
5+ years' experience with eCommerce Web technologies such as HTML5, Javascript, JQuery, CSS3 and AJAX
Experience with the full Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) within an Agile environment
Desired Skills (not required but you will get exposure to some of these):
Experience with various Javascript frameworks such as NodeJS, AngularJS, ReactJS and Backbone.JS
Experience developing eCommerce solutions using IBM Websphere Commerce (WCS)
Experience with Java
Additional Requirements:
Must be able to pass a background check
Must be able to pass a drug test
