Job Description:

Seeking a Senior Developer (5+ years experience) to work with our team of in-house developers, in the planned enhancements to our recently launched flagship riverbed.com website; aid in the development of our localized sites (in Chinese, Japanese, German, etc.), as well as microsites and other CRM properties. The Web Systems Senior Developer will work as a member of the 7-person Web Services team, and as part of our 4-person in-house web development team. This position functions as the driving force behind the delivery of multiple, concurrent projects that leverage and extend our robust technical platform. The Web Systems Developer draws upon deep technical knowledge, years of web application development experience, proven leadership skills and ability to forge strong working relationships that cross third party and in house organizational lines in order to aid us in our transition toward a more robust, scalable, lean and nimble department.

Nice to have Skills:

Key point of contact with 3rd party affiliates including management of technical agency.

· Works with business shareholders and developers to prioritize support and tactical issues to address immediate business needs while maintaining strategic direction.

· Plans resource needs and allocations to support projects, initiatives, and support.

· Ensures service levels are understood and met.

· Proactively engages other team members and departments in cross-functional efforts. Openly shares plans and strives to prevent dissatisfaction.

· Demonstrable, sound knowledge of HTML/CSS/JavaScript

· Understands concepts underlying AJAX, object-oriented programming.

· Experience with server page languages such as PHP or JSP, and at least some experience working with an RDBMS (such as MySQL).

· Hands-on experience with: - SEO - Publish (or enterprise-level CMS equivalent)
