Senior Java Developer 
Location:  Chicago Downtown
Client : State Govt Agency
Total Positions: 7  (+3 as a backup)
Duration: 3 years to begin with and highly to run into mulitple years there after

 
Description:  A Senior Java Developer must perform complex technical and advisory functions in the development of web-based Java applications. Specialists must have a broad and long-term experience developing and implementing solutions on the Java platform, and must have worked intensively developing systems for content management, web publishing, integration, e-commerce, digital signature, server programming, and web-based client-server systems.  
 
 
Mandatory:

1.     6 years of college (with a minimum of a Bachelor's Degree) with significant course work in computer science or directly related technical fields

2.     Requires at least 6 years of professional experience in Java development for large, web-based applications within the last 9 years.  (Please provide name of company or companies, title(s) of candidate, period(s) of employment, and roles and responsibilities.)

3.     J2EE

4.     Struts Framework, Spring IOC Framework, and Spring Batch Integration of Struts and Spring

5.     Design Patterns (Gang of Four Patterns)

6.     strong SQL skills

7.   Solid iBatis experience, JUNIT experience, JSP experience, and Maven experience

 
Preferred:

1.     WebSphere and WebSphere's Rational Toolset experience (Clear Case/Clear Quest)

2.     Experience with building or using a rules engine

3.     Previous experience with IDES/State Agency Systems, methodologies
