As Distribution Modeling Applications Engineer, you will be responsible for performing power systems engineering assignments involving software development and/or delivery in a designated technical area in support of Grid projects.

 

Supporting Distribution Management System (DMS) Application and Modeling activities for end-user and demonstration systems.
Design and development of software applications and tools to assist in DMS Modeling activities.
Performing tasks to support project delivery, product development, and product support activities.
Direct customer interaction and consulting within the area of functional expertise.
Requires Travel of 20x% of the time, may require travel up to 50%.
May be required to work extended hours, carry a pager/cell phone and be on call.

All candidates must meet the following minimum requirements in order to be considered for this opportunity.  Candidates who exceed minimum qualifications may be considered for a higher level position.

MSEE with thesis or related work in power systems, computer science or equivalent work experience. We need 5 years work experience
Good understanding of power systems and distribution management systems (DMS). 
Good programming experience in C++ and/or Java and familiarity with basic database operations.
