Position: Cognos Developer

Location: Boca Raton, FL

Duration: 6+ months

Description

            The position of Cognos Developer is for an IT professional with 3+ years in the design, development, implementation and administration of COGNOS cubes and reports in Cognos 8/ReportNet. Experience with balanced scorecards and executive dashboards.  Data modeling and dimensional modeling experience, including an understanding of the star schema.  Experience managing DEV, TEST & PROD environments and migration across these environments. 

Responsibilities          

•                Support the business reporting needs by designing, developing and implementing various forms of informational reporting, including testing and migration

•                Support the business, testing and verification needs by running informational queries

•                Support both business users and IT users within the organization

•                Educate/mentor end users with the appropriate Cognos BI tool(s)

•                Administer and maintain the Cognos environment, including security

•                Develop and maintain end user and technical documentation

•                Support and troubleshoot the Cognos environment

•                QA deliverables and research data for correctness and/or anomalies

Education and certifications 

•                Relevant Bachelors Degree or equivalent experience

•                Cognos Certification is a plus
