Must-haves
3 - 5 years experience as a Network Security Engineer
3-5 years Firewall experience (preferably R60, R65 or higher versions) - will be working on 1400 firewalls
1+ year working with Junos/Juniper SRX firewalls (Junos is the operating system that runs on most of Juniper's networking equipment. It is Juniper's single in-house network operating system spanning routing, switching and security platforms on its router product)
Tcpdump and fw monitor (for troubleshooting / traffic analysis)
Linux, UNIX and Microsoft experience (know how to use vi editor)
Networking -sub netting, routing, etc.
Plusses
NSM (Network Security Manager) experience
CCSE cert
Experience migrating from Checkpoint to juniper
Juniper Netscreen and SRX platforms, policy conversion from Checkpoint to Juniper, etc.
VRRP (Checkpoints high availability / fail over redundancy)
NAT - static and hide NAT (network address translation)
Day-to-Day
Remote - anywhere in the United States
Will be working directly with PMs and remote balance engineers to come up with checkpoint firewalls solutions working on installs and/or upgrades of hardware.
This team focuses on network perimeter security
Will be managing the traffic to traverse proxies
Will be in project meetings with project managers and other engineers (blue coat proxy engineers, load balancers engineers and LAN engineers) to come up with solutions, go over requirements and milestones.
The team works with both Checkpoint and Juniper SRX firewalls - these particular engineers will be more focused on Checkpoint
Will be working to refresh 1400 firewalls conducting the Life cycle management program
