Location: Windsor, CT
Duration: 6-12 months

Job requirement:
Must have Silver light experience
Candidate will be working with a team of developers working on the creation of a self service application request portal. The role requires the developer to be very proficient in .NET development using the C# language. All systems to be developed using OOP principles. The self service portal is web based so candidates should be well versed in web based user interfaces, JavaScript, and common interface patterns like MVC and MVVM. Candidates should have some level of Silverlight experience as well. Candidates should be proficient in SQL Server DB design and query creation. Experience in using LINQ is desirable. Finally, the primary system the candidate will be developing will be used by most employees at UHG and will thus have to be robust and redundant. The final system will live on a web farm.
Skills:
5+ years SQL Server database design / stored procedure development 5+ years OOP 5+ years C# web based development Experience with Silverlight suggested Experience with SharePoint 2007 / 2010 development is a plus as we use this platform (Web Part dev, content types, custom feature dev) for other integrated systems. Strong communication skills a must. Must work well in a team environment. Agile based development experience a plus.
