We need Microfocus Cobol candidates worked exclusively on UNIX platform.

 Location: NY/NJ

6+ months

Must Have Skills (Role Requirements): MF COBOL, DB2 – SQL, JCL, Autosys

• 6 -8 years of  technical skills

• Experience working with cross functional Development, QA, Test, and Production Teams

• Ability to integrate information from multiple sources to execute effectively and efficiently in a dynamic environment

• Financial business knowledge is a plus

• Work independently with minimal supervision, alternating between high-level and low-level details as the situation dictates

• Strong knowledge of Microfocus Cobol, CICS, DB2, VSAM, JCL, UTILITIES.

• Strong Knowledge of relational database techniques and design, SQL (UDB/DB2).  Be able to write and maintain stored procedures.

• Experience working with MFC platform both in Windows and Unix environment. 

• Strong of Unix Shells and Perl scripts.  Familiarity with batch scheduling tool such as Autosys, is a plus.

• Visio and MS Project Skills

• Skills in Microsoft Office, ability to create documentation and presentations, develop spreadsheets

Purpose of the Role: Microfocus Senior developer, to work on development of the various MFC projects, and be able to interface with QC and Business Analysts.
