Position : Test Engineer/QA
Location : Fort Lauderdale, Florida
Duration : 3-6 Months Contract
Rate : $35/Hour on C2C
Must Haves:
5+ years QA/Test experience
Strong web application testing experience
Writing and executing test cases.
Automated test tools.
Experience developing test cases for multi-browser testing.
Working knowledge of software engineering and quality assurance processes.
Solid proficiency in test effort estimation and tracking.
Solid networking background
Programming proficiency (such as Java, VB, or related).
Working knowledge of Jira or similar defect tracking software.
Knowledge of Web-based application design, including database access, security, client-side presentation and scripting (HTML, DHTML, CSS, JavaScript, Shell).
User knowledge of Unix/Linux environment (Solaris and Solaris-based applications)
User knowledge on configuring and administering J2EE application server (such as Resin, WebSphere, SunOne server, etc.).
Understanding of Microsoft SQL Server and SQL database queries and back-end testing

D2D:
The Software Senior Test Engineer is responsible for validating quality of web applications
through the use of systematic tests to develop, apply, and maintain quality standards.
Produces, maintains, and provides feedback on test artifacts.
Executes software test cases, document, and report test case status.
Maintains documentation of test results to assist in debugging and modification of software.
Collects logs and creates detailed documentation of defects. Analyzes test results to ensure existing functionality and drives corrective action. Assists development engineers in resolution of problems.
Provides feedback in preparation of technical appraisals of programming languages, systems, and computation software.
Designs, implements, and maintains test bed/lab.
Selects appropriate methods and techniques to resolve issues.
Maintains and drives continuous quality improvement in meeting internal and external customer requirements.
Communicates and coordinates with managers, peers, and developers to build alignment between cross-functional groups.
Provides guidance to test engineers and/or new team members. Certain projects may also require position to lead project testing efforts.
