Must have excellent communication skills Must have 2 Years as a QA Lead (Key is a strong Manual tester that can write test cases and execute them. Requirements documentation and can do functional testing. SQL scripting and is a self starter) Senior QA Lead As the Senior QA Analyst, you will be responsible for analyzing system requirements and detailed design documents to ensure that they are clearly defined, complete and testable. With minimal supervision you will be responsible for the creation and execution of Test Plans, Test Cases and Test Scripts to verify new and existing (regression) software functionality. You will also be responsible for tracking and reporting defects, reporting progress and assisting with risk assessments.
Responsibilities: · Analyze business, system and functional requirements as well as technical detailed design to ensure testability. · Work with the Business Analyst and Business Owner to ensure that business, system and functional requirements are testable, clear and complete. · Work with the Developer to ensure that the detailed design is traceable to the business, system and functional requirements. · Translate requirements into written and thorough test plans and detailed test cases and scripts, both front end (Browser based) and back end (SQL Server 2005 and 2008). · Create written test scripts using the requirements, detailed design document and other system documentation · Execute test cases and test scripts, track and report defects and reporting results to the team lead. · Test applications that perform complex calculations and validate calculation results. · Perform considerable back-end (SQL Server 2005 and 2008) testing; requires writing complex SQL queries and understanding data models. · Perform data validation on reports generated by SQL Server Reporting Services. · Identify test data required to execute test cases and interacts with project team members to ensure the data is available for testing.
Qualifications: · Able to learn and summarize complex business and system processes · Experience performing systems/functional testing on applications with limited documentation · Experience testing applications that perform complex calculations · Experience creating sample data based on the requirements in order to execute test cases · Able to work in a fast paced work environment while maintaining a high level of quality · Experience writing and executing SQL statements using SQL Server 2005 and 2008 to validate data, pull/identify test data and verify test execution results
