Title : Business Objects Developer
Location: Austin/Dallas, TX
Duration:6+ Months Contract
Business Objects Developer with XI 3.1 Web Intelligence report creation experience and Crystal Reports 2008.
- Experience with Business Intelligence Analysis and Data Warehousing building and maintaining Business Objects Universes.
- Provide data analysis and identify data related issues within the Data Warehouse environment as well as upstream systems, as needed.
- Familiar with relational databases, mainly Oracle DB and SQL Server DB
- Experience in defining database index optimization strategies and tuning SQL
- Strong knowledge and adherence of development methodologies, standards and best practices.
- Design, develop, maintain and integrate application software, related project management activity and production support.
- Work with product development, architects and developers to review new DB related features, schema design, object structure, data flow, and SQL statements.
- The ideal candidate will have a strong knowledge in creating stored procedures
- The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of joins, and indexing.
- Perform requirements analysis, physical data modeling and database engineering functions for relational database system(s).
- Excellent verbal and written communications skills; ability to effectively communicate with different levels of management as well as the business and technical communities.
- Proficiency at working on multiple tasks simultaneously and changing priorities.
- Must be able to work well in a team environment and still be an individual contributor when required.
- Must be able to demonstrate the ability to be productive with minimal supervision
Bachelors Degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related technical discipline, or the equivalent combination of education, technical training, or work experience.
5-8 years of related systems engineering experience.
- Oracle 11G, SQL, PLSQL, Data modeling tools , SQL*Net, SQL*Developer . Business Objects 3.1 and Crystal Reports
- Experience in creating reports using SQL Server Reporting Services 2008 or 2005 desired
