Cisco Network Engineer

Senior level network engineer with CCNP credentials to join a network support team. This senior level position is part of a team responsible for Project Rollouts, Network Maintenance, Support, Trouble Resolution, Root Cause Analysis and SLA maintenance for a large, enterprise LAN / MAN / WAN environment. In addition to daily SLA compliance and routine break-fix duties, and will develop and manage various projects to enhance & expand the network, including network architecture, detailed design, cost analysis, project planning, implementation, documentation and cross-training of peers. Excellent customer service & team building skills, interact directly with customers, to serve as a technical mentor within the team, and to participate in & foster a "team environment.  Diagnose & resolve difficult network problems and to interact with application support teams to diagnose network / application performance issues. This position operates in a 7x24x365 SLA driven environment, requiring flexible work hours.
Job Requirements:
Demonstrated, in-depth, LAN / MAN / WAN support & engineering experience.
Experience in supporting complex, enterprise level LAN / MAN / WAN networks.
Advanced knowledge & experience with Cisco routing hardware, software, protocols, etc.
Advanced knowledge & experience with Cisco switching hardware, software, protocols, etc.
Familiarity with Cisco's Nexus and Catalyst product lines.
Experience with installation & maintenance of Cisco's WiFi / 802.11 systems.
Working knowledge of structured cabling, network facilities, electrical, UPS, etc.
In-depth packet / protocol analyzers to find and remedy application and network performance issues.
Willingness to participate and share in rotating on-call duties.
Respond to on-call / on-site situations within required SLA parameters (2 hr max drive time).
12+ years of professional experience in WAN / MAN / LAN Network solutions, at the Enterprise level.
Extensive Router, Switch and IP Configuration Experience.
(BS) in Computer Science, Telecommunications, Electrical Engineering (or related technical degree).
Relevant technical certification (current CCNA, CCNP, CCIE,)
