Job Title:
Senior Data Analyst

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Perform data investigation and analysis of complicated data sets via SQL
• Derive data validation tests from Technical Requirements Document and perform data validations and tests during QA phase
• Work with business users to gather and document requirements, analyze business needs and create use cases for new Business Intelligence/Data Warehouse efforts
• Support Requirements Traceability throughout the life cycle of the project
• Assist in BRD creation and participate in BRD review and sign off
• Gather and document report samples
• Facilitate UAT process with business users
• Anticipate customer needs and requirements; effectively design work processes to satisfy needs
• Participate in root cause analysis and defect resolution process, prioritizing and establishing severity levels of defects.
• Create, review and validate Source to Target analyses
• Conduct user group meetings to both train users and increase user adoption of new reporting toolsets

Knowledge/Skill Requirements:

• 5 - 8 years experience in business analysis and requirements gathering
• Strong self-starter with attention to detail and full accountability
• Experience in full SDLC
• Excellent communication skills
• Excellent interpersonal skills; must be able to develop and maintain strong relationships with business customers
• Experience with star schema database designs
• Familiarity with MicroStrategy/OBIEE or similar reporting software package
• Ability to track project process through milestones
• Excellent analytic skills
• Strong SQL skills
