The ideal candidate will be responsible for development of scripts and procedures to extract data from source systems, transform the data (i.e. standardizing, cleaning, de duping, etc), and then map and load the data into the corporate data warehouse. Additionally, the candidate will also be responsible for optimizing any processes, programs, and functions to improve data quality, data security, and data consistency. Extensive knowledge of Informatica is required.

Job Description: ETL Informatica Developer

The client is looking for someone with good Informatica experience.

Job Summary:

The Application ETL Developer is responsible for supporting The Client's strategic initiatives to acquire, retain, and develop profitable customer relationships. This involves implementing and maintaining a corporate wide data warehouse and specific data marts for individual departments.

The developer will primarily be responsible for development scripts and procedures to extract data from source systems, transform the data (i.e. standardizing, cleaning, de duping, etc), and then map and load the data into the corporate data warehouse.

The developer will also be responsible for optimizing any processes, programs, and functions to improve data quality, data security, and data consistency.

Essential Functions:

• Extract data from source systems
• Transform data via standardization, cleaning, data repair, matching, and deduping
• Manage multiple data sources including internal, external, and 3^rd party source system data
• Manage all technical aspects of the ETL process
• Performance tuning of ETL processes
• Assist in developing feeds to departmental Data Marts
• Ability to be a strategic business partner/consultant for data warehouse development
• Ensure the data warehouse is able to provide required information to all departments
• Ensure data warehouse is able to provide highly targeted lists of customers based on any data attributes, including demographic attributes, transactional behaviors, and event triggers

Experience & Qualifications:

·         Extensive working knowledge of Oracle Database, Relational and Dimensional Data Modeling, and Full Life Cycle Design and Application Development
·         In depth knowledge of the Informatica tool
·         Extensive SQL, PL/SQL, Stored Procedure, Packages, and UNIX scripting skills.
·         Experience creating and maintaining an extraction, transformation, and loading process (ETL) from source systems into a data warehouse, mart, or both
·         Working experience with SQL performance tuning
·         Knowledge OLAP application development
·         At least 5 years of experience in database systems

Technical skills and abilities:

Proven experience with applications listed above in "Essential Functions" section
