Job Title: Sr. San Storage Admin

Duration: 3 to 6 months Contract

Location: Chicago, IL

Must have strong experience on NetApp and should have worked on HP high end storage systems.

Candidates strong in EMC, Hitachi and little or no experience in NetApp etc will not be considered.

Job Description:

Candidate will join a team responsible for operation and support of a centralized storage infrastructure and will provide daily support of our heterogeneous server environment in throughout the world. This includes storage area networking (SAN) using both fibre channel (FC) and internet (iSCSI) protocols, network attached storage (NAS) using both CIFS and NFS protocols, and backup/restore infrastructure (software, hardware and media management).

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent, with advanced degree in Business or Information Technology preferred

3 or more years of leadership experience in storage management (e.g. project management, technical team leadership or recognized technology domain expertise)

8 or more years of experience working with a variety of technology disciplines (e.g. networks and networking protocols, servers and operating systems, management systems, backup/restore systems)

Must have vendor management experience and have worked in a distributed environment.

Must have experience with conversion from big box to distributed world.

Experience in NAS and SAN architectures required, with specific knowledge of EMC, Hitachi, HP, and/or Network Appliances product lines preferred

Knowledge of network protocols and network topology, with specific Fibre Channel and iSCSI protocol knowledge preferred

Must Have skills:

HP XP 24000 Storage or NetApp Storage

Experience on SAN, NAS and iSCSI
