Relevant Experience (Yrs)

1.      6+yrs experience Java development of Design and Architecture using object-oriented methodologies

2.      3+ yrs experience as senior-level Java developer/analyst required

3.      3+ yrs experience with Oracle development

4.      3+ year experience with web services, service based development, XML/XSD

5.      3+ yrs experience as systems analyst/designer

6.      3+yrs Experience with developing and deploying J2EE components within Oracle Weblogic Server

7.      3+ yrs Experience with Spring and Hibernate

8.      3+yrs experience with development of Java-based framework and open source technology

9.      3+ yrs Experience with development tools such as Eclipse and Maven

10.  3+yrs Exposure to Agile (TDD) methodology

11.  Comfort maintaining source code control system preferably Subversion or CVS

12.  Should have excellent communication, negotiation, decision making, and problem solving skills.

13.  Must be a team player.

14.  Must have "can do" /"will do" attitude.

Additional Technical Skills

1.      Experience in a Cable, Telecom, or a Media company a plus

2.      Experience with Voice, Data, and Video technology a plus

3.      Exposure to Agile methodology a plus.

4.      Experience in Order Care/Order Management applications.

Roles & Responsibilities

1.      Design and Develop enterprise applications using Agile methodology. Design core components using Agile methodology.  This includes creating Detailed Design using UML, Process Flows, Sequence Diagrams, and sometimes pseudo-code level details.

2.      Develop detailed designs using Object-Oriented Methodology.

3.      Develop and unit test frameworks and mechanisms central to building XML/SOAP-based web services.

4.      Develop Java Components

5.       Create database objects to support components

6.       Write Unit Test Cases

7.       Utilize commercial off-the-shelf and open source technologies

8.       Identify functional test scenarios in line with business objectives.

9.       Support testing efforts and Support documentation efforts

10.   Understand and consume application requirements and use cases

11.   Design and document technical solution strategies and architectures fulfilling complex business requirements

12.   Interact with experts from support teams regarding the definition and application of non-functional requirements for the solution to be developed

13.  Develop prototype and architecture for new concepts and technology that would eventually be used by the Development teams.

14.  Provide support and mentoring to both senior- and junior-level developers distributed amongst the Development teams.

15.   Perform other duties as assigned
