SQL DBA

Location: CT (The ideal candidate will be in the general NY/NJ/CT/MA/RI area as an in-person interview will be necessary)

Duration: 6+ months

Description:

Client is looking for a SQL Server DBA with 5+ years of experience skilled with 2008 & 2005 software installation, maintenance, tuning and conversions.

·         Strong knowledge of MS SQL Server 2000/2005/2008, acting in role of database administrator required, including creating stored procedures, developing DTS Packages/SSIS, upgrading SQL Server to 2008, and implementing SSRS and SSAS required.

·         Maintain multiple databases in QA, Test and Production environments

·         Test, monitor and suggest ways to tune performance on SQL Server 2008 and 2005 databases

·         Create Reports in Reporting services and deploying in both Test and Production environments

·         Writing complex T-SQL stored procedures and functions Manage databases with multiple applications and servers

·         Manage, Maintain and Create Backup strategies based on database size and server configuration

·         Manage, Maintain and Create Jobs in different servers based on project requirements.

·         Optimize query and database performance

·         Troubleshooting experience in production environment

·         Create and Maintain Replication among different servers
