HSEMA is seeking a Systems Engineer to assist in the development and support of the HSEMA production and development environments.

Complete Description: 
The District of Columbia Homeland Security and Emergency Management Agency (HSEMA) is seeking a Systems Engineer to assist in the development and support of the HSEMA production and development environments. The Systems Engineer will take a lead role in the design, build and maintenance of current critical HSEMA systems (primarily Windows) and network infrastructure as well as take a lead role in suggesting changes or improvements to IT technology, policies, and procedures relating to applications and systems deployment. 
Current systems that the Systems Engineer will assist in overseeing include: CCTV and video technologies, AV and conferencing facilities, security applications, web/application servers, application and patch deployment tools, Microsoft Exchange servers, and network administration protocols and technologies. 
This position requires a bachelor's degree in an Information Technology discipline as well as certification in key areas such as Microsoft Administration and preferably security technologies. Sufficient industry experience in this area is a requirement. The Systems Engineer should have at least 8 years of experience as a systems administrator in government and commercial environments. Experience with CCTV and network security technologies is required and experience in a secure or public services environment is desirable.
