Title: QA Engineer

Location: San Jose -

Duration: 9-12 months

 The client is  a leader in online payments and transfers. They build great products that are modular and service oriented in C++ and Java. The Systems Engineer will work with the QA and Development teams to automate different processes from building out environments to code coverage and running regressions.

 Key Responsibilities:

-              Work as part of the QA team to automate and instrument builds for code coverage

-              Automate building out test environments

-              Collaborate with different teams into making automation scripts modular, parametrized and reusable

-              Work with development team(s) to resolve build issues

-              Analyze coverage reports and highlight under and over covered areas and come up with strategies to guide tests into full coverage and reduce regression times

-              Develop test cases from requirement and/or from existing code

 Qualifications

-              Strong Python scripting skills - Pls do not submit without Python exp.

-              Experience building C++ and Java projects

-              Familiarity with code coverage tools like Bullseye for C++ or Emma for Java

-              Familiarity with distributed source control systems like git and working with branches

-              Experience in building test environments, configuration management and/or automation using tools like Puppet

-              Strong testing background and familiarity with tools like TestNG and Selenium

-              Disciplined with an agile background able to plan daily, size accurately and deliver on time.

-              Good communicator able to express ideas and obstacles clearly.
