Job Title: Microstrategy Admin

Duration: 6 Months

Location: Herndon, VA

Required skills:  

5+ years experience administering Microstrategy version 8 and 9 environments.

• Capacity Planning and Performance Tuning skills
• Experience in Shell scripting  and Command Manager Scripting
• Analyzing system logs and identifying potential issues with computer systems.
• Troubleshooting any reported problems.
• Performing routine audits of systems and software.
• Applying operating system updates, patches, and configuration changes.
• Installing and configuring new hardware and software.
• Experience in Life Cycle Management tool
• Experience in failover and recovery planning, design and testing
• Find creative and sophisticated solutions to problems reported while using MicroStrategy's product suite through analytical talent and strong troubleshooting abilities.
• Detail oriented. Strong communication and problem solving skills.
• Work independently without substantial handholding/oversight through work efforts. 
• Ability to multi-task and provide expertise for multiple infrastructure related efforts across concurrent project tasks

Preferred skills: 

• Knowledge of Java 1.5/1.6
• Experience with Microstrategy SDK
• An understanding of Web Servers and Application Servers (Tomcat)
• Microstrategy Certification
