Must haves:
-5+ years of Datastage Development experience
- Control-M (BMC scheduling tool)
- SQL Scripting experience
Day to day:
The developer will develop the extracts, apply a series of data standardization rules (dates, number formats, etc) to the data and land the data in a staging environment where it can be picked up by the ETL team.
This candidate work closely with EDW BA's to define what data is needed to extract and with the EDW modelers to define the format/structure of the data being extracted. They will be on site at a bank client that has a need for a data mart to support the analytics around mobile/online banking. This is a role to access the underlying databases or file systems of source applications and develop/implement processes to extract data from those systems and make it available as inputs into the EDW's data integration processes. The source applications will either be database structures in a distributed environment or flat files provided by a third-party vendor.
