One of our client is looking for  Need    MID Level AIX Admins

Day to day work:

- Data migration using in house and 3rd party tools

- Post support to other operational group database application teams

Additional Job Info:

Required skills:

- 5+ yrs AIX Administration (IBM AIX v. 6.1 OS)

- IBM HACMP (High Availability Cluster Multiprocessing) knowledge

- IBM Virtual I/O Server (VIO Server) knowledge

- Prior data migration experience

- Experience building AIX VIO servers while using LPARs

 Top 3 Skills (stack ranked) :   (1) 5+ yrs AIX Administration (IBM AIX v. 6.1 OS)

(2) IBM HACMP (High Availability Cluster Multiprocessing) knowledge

(3) IBM Virtual I/O Server (VIO Server) knowledge       

Work Environment (culture, deadline intensive, flexible hours, dress code) :    Extremely fast paced; tight deadlines AND SLAs  

Business Challenge Client is Tasked with Solving :      There are 2 projects involved. Candidates will be directed To a specific project based on their strengths:

 Project:

(OPERATIONS: 10 positions)

They are shutting down 2 legacy data centers AND moving To 2 new datacenters. One is an HP facility AND one is a Coke facility. They have old equipment (running 5.3) that they will be upgrading. They have created multiple VIO Servers so that when they migrate the contents of each physical server To the target data center, they will be turning off the old hardware AND porting over To the new hardware with VIO assistance. This work will be performed during standard business hours, with additional weekend OR additional hours of work each evening.
