Job Description:
The Senior Report Developer will help drive the growth of all Time Warner Cable Media products by creating meaningful reports with deep analytics for clients to gauge the performance and opportunities across all media platforms, and for internal business stakeholders to make informed decisions.
Responsibilities:
Develop automated reporting solutions using MicroStrategy to support the TWCM advertising business by providing internal and external clients with relevant, accurate metrics in scheduled and on-demand environments
Create self-service features for ad hoc reporting and constantly search for ways to reduce the amount of sales and operations time required around generating reports
Work with product and strategy leaders to capture business requirements, align priorities, outline timelines and provide clear updates during development
Generate ad hoc requests as submitted by various disciplines within the organization while assessing and communicating the impact of longer-term projects
Define and oversee the work of other developers and analysts as needed to meet the level of effort outlined by all stakeholders and agreed upon by operations management
Help execute and monitor the delivery of all reporting solutions supported by the team
Serve as a subject matter expert for all aspects of reporting
Requirements:
3 to 5 years of design & development of MicroStrategy 9.x
2 to 3 years of C# .net development experience
Strong SQL Skills
Ability to analyze data from a marketing/advertising perspective and previous experience in the industry is a strong plus
Must have the ability to troubleshoot MSTR project issues with attributes, metrics, hierarchies and transformations
Full understanding of Data Warehousing and BI Life Cycle development and key concepts
Must have worked with Oracle, SQL server and nice to have Netezza experience
Experience in both schema and public object design and build
Hands on knowledge in designing or developing dashboards including panel, panel boards and drill downs
Experience with Unix Shell scripting
Strong communications skills
Ability to effectively present to management through both formal and informal presentations
Ability to work in a fast-paced, team environment while also working individually towards goals
Strong attention to detail and quality
High aptitude for MS Office tools
Ability to work under pressure while balancing multiple priorities
