Role:-Business Object Administrator

Duration:- 6 month
Role summary:
The candidate will act as a member of the Advanced Support team as a BO Administrator. Business Objects Administrator will be responsible for overseeing the administration of the Business Objects, Metadata, Life Cycle Management, Explorer, Excelsius and BO Data Services runtime environments. The BO Administrator will plan and execute periodic maintenance of the BO solution and recommend and execute software upgrades and patches.
The candidate should we willing to work in 8 hr shifts (current time ranges are between 7.30 am to 8.00 pm currently) and will be involved in calls with our Bangalore, India team. The position provides remote support on the systems and will be in an on-call rotation with the team in the Bangalore with some major change activities on weekends.
Required Experience/Responsibilities:
Responsible for maintenance of Business Objects environments including installation, configuration, patching, upgrades, monitoring and backups.
Business Objects Admin/Architecture experience on Xi31 or Xi40 or greater is a must.
Plan and perform environment consolidation/reduction/optimization.
Experience performing and maintaining integration with SAP, UNIX, Database, Identity Management, and other applications.
Provide 24x7 platform support. Complete service requests and problem cases.
Manage and track Business Objects and associated tool license usage, provide input for long range licensing plans and optimization.
Responsible for activities such as conceptual design, detail technical specifications and technical documentation. Partner with Enterprise Architecture and application teams to design Business Objects solutions.
Participates in the design, development, testing, implementation and documentation of solutions.
Experience with installations and maintenance in a Linux/Unix environment.
Experience with performing BO deployments in a WebLogic environment.
Measures performance of the newly implemented solutions against desired results and recommends basic improvements; demonstrates a strong sense of ownership for outcomes.
Skills:
o Senior Level Business Objects Administration (Content and Server), Meta Data Management, Explorer accelerator, BO Data Services. Mobil Services would be a plus.
o An understanding of Business Objects Universe and report development
o Business Objects deployments (with WebLogic)
o Business Objects integration experience with LDAP, SAP, SharePoint etc.
o Excellent communication and troubleshooting skills
o Good understanding of various database platforms, including Oracle, MS SQL
o Practical experience using Business Objects Clustering
o Intermediate UNIX/Linux and Windows 2003 skills are desired.
