Cognos Developer

Location: Auburn Hills, MI

Duration: 9+ months

Essential Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

·         Minimum of 3 years IT and data modeling related experience

·         Strong business skills

·         Strong analytical skills

·         Decision making and problem solving skills (i.e. debugging and testing)

·         Strong knowledge of Cognos report development (v8.x – v10)

·         Strong knowledge of the Cognos Framework Manager (v8.x – v10)

·         Strong knowledge of MS Office suite of applications, especially Excel

·         Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and work with end users to meet appropriate deadlines

·         Strong communication skills (oral and written); the ability to communicate technical material in a non-technical manner to be understood by the end user community

·         Strong interpersonal skills

·         Great attention to detail

·         Thorough working knowledge of the report development processes, methodologies and their direct implementation to projects

·         Excellent understanding of data and business processes (especially in the finance area)

·         Knowledge of relational database concept

·         Minimum three years related business and technical experience  (Minimum five years for senior)
