Role:- QA Analyst
Location:-Parsippany, NJ.

Duration :-12+ months

Candidates must have some insurance industry experience to qualify

Client will do 1st round of phone interviews followed by a face to face interview as a final interview. So local candidates only.

COMMUNICATION SKILLS ARE EXTREMELY IMPORTANT!!!


Below are the must have items we are looking for in a candidate:

·         A very strong Automation background  (Specifically a candidate must be able to create automated scripts from scratch (framework) and perform them in conjunction with functional testing for Client/Server Apps)

·         Must have Functional, Regression, Integration and UAT Testing experience

·         Test Complete or at least QTP

·         Strong communication skills over the telephone and in-person (Must be able to explain in detail how to perform certain testing)

·         Deal with Off Shore teams

·         Documentation experience

·         Insurance experience is preferred

 
Additional Notes:

·         If an item is listed on a resume, the candidate must be able to explain in detail

·         Currently using Manual testing only and we are looking to transition to an Automated testing environment

·         If the candidate only has Java experience and does not possess .Net experience or VB, then this particular candidate will not be a fit for this role.


FULL JOB DESCRIPTION BELOW:

Essential Functions/Responsibilities:

Analyze, define and agree on the implementation of automated test processes within individual project teams

Work as part of a test team to deliver new releases, discuss and prioritize defects and ensure problem resolution/escalation

Identify the test automation requirements for new and existing projects

Maintenance of regression test packs and end-to-end testing framework including the associated test cases

Communicate Test results to the appropriate teams

Must be able to write test cases and run them

Documentation of all user requirements

Implementation and execution of automated testing program/solutions

Assist Developer and Users throughout the development process (i.e. work with users to solve front line supporting issues)

Test Planning and execution for both Desktop and Internet applications

Qualifications

Education:  

Bachelor's Degree in an IT related field, or 7+ years experience

Skills/Experience (Abilities):
 
Required:

Minimum of 3 + years in preparing Test Plans, Cases, Scenario Reports

Must have experience with setting up automated tests for both Desktop and Web Applications developed in ASP.Net/C#

Must have 3 years of experience documenting completed Test results

Experience in setting up and configuring tests in Test Complete/QTP (Software)

Contribute to continual improvement of the testing process

Must have 2 years of experience writing SQL Queries and understanding database structures

Must have experience in MS Visual Studio Team suite or a similar product

Excellent written/verbal, communication skills

High level of attention to detail

Ability to work independently without close supervision, as well as within a team

Strong Microsoft Office Skills

Some domestic and international travel required

Preferred:

Experience with testing  systems developed in PowerBuilder

Experience executing test plans for MS Great Plains

Experience in QTP

Insurance industry experience

Possession of an industry-recognized testing qualification - ISEB foundation certificate
