Test Architect – Continuous Integration Administrator – Topeka KS– Contract

 

Must have Jenkins and Continuous Integration Build skills.  This person will support numerous applications and be a mentor for testers and others.  Communication skills need to be very good as this person will interact with not only the technical but also the business community. 

 

The contract will be written to December 31, 2012 and then renewed. 

 

Interview process – Skype and then more than likely hire.

 

JOB DESCRIPTION:

We have partnered with our client in the Midwest to bring on board an experienced Test Architect with Continuous Integration expertise to join a technology-driven team.  This is a long-term project. 

 

Responsible for:

·         Administration of Jenkins, Maven, Selenium, Sonar, Nexus, Testopia/Bugzilla, and other testing tools

o   Setup of tools

o   Upgrade of tools

o   Access to tools

o   Training

·         Review build results

o   Work with each team's point person on any issues

o   Correct jar files are being used

o   Manage POM files

·         Review UI testing results

·         Communicate with team's point person on plans, issues, and changes

·         Work with infrastructure support teams on setup, issues, and upgrades

·         Work with DBA team in defining database needs or issues

·         Setup integration with other tools (Testopia)

·         Work on automating processes

·         Document CI processes and keep current

·         Define testing result criteria for approving code to move to system environment

·         Report on testing results

·         Coordinating the functions of the IS testers

·         Recommend enhancements to the testing processes

 

Required Knowledge:

·         Jenkins, Maven, Selenium, Sonar, Nexus, Testopia/Bugzilla

·         Experience setting up automated testing functions

·         Understanding of java and the build process

·         Knowledge of how to build test cases
