Job Summary: 

Clients Supply Chain Systems team is responsible for a number of packaged and custom built applications.  The Supply Chain team's primary focus is deploying packaged solutions to support Sales and Operations Planning and Master Production Scheduling.  The team is also responsible for a Supplier Portal and a number of Java based custom applications that support  clients supply chain processes.

This application developer position provides many challenging and exciting opportunities within the realm of Enterprise Application Development.

Primary Responsibilities: 

• Create, modify or enhance data extracts in an Oracle environment
• Develop/Enhance PL/SQL stored procedures/functions and packages
• Performance tune queries, packages, procedures and functions
• Work with project managers/leads to understand requirements and design
• Provide Quality Assurance  for self and others
• Problem determination and resolution (system bugs, data issues and corrections)
• Create jobs and schedules using Unix scripts and TE scheduling software
• Create data extracts

Competencies & Experience Required/Desired: 

• Strong analytical skills
• Strong SQL/PL-SQL skills
• Oracle
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Development experience with Unix shell scripting
• Ability to meet with end users, understand issues and provide a solution
• Ability to create data extracts based upon adhoc requests
• Be a creative and dedicated person capable of working effectively in a team environment, or as an individual (both are needed to be a success)
• Independent and analytical thinker – identify important factors in making decisions; willing to express opinions, etc
• Be comfortable working with different areas in diagnosing complex problems, constantly learning, and applying new technologies
