THIS POSITION REQUIRES SENIOR JAVA DEVELOPERS WITH 10 YRS OF EXP!!  IMMEDIATE INTERVIEWS!!

Sr. Java developers/designers

Our client needs 2 senior consultants (strong senior Java candidates – but the focus should not just be technology skills – communication and leadership is paramount) who will support our partners and work with our customers to find out what their needs are.

The consultants will need to make an analysis of their requirements and advise them accordingly. Together with the project team, they will be responsible for the implementation of systems. Some travel will be required.

There will be couple of phone interviews and an in-person interview. Local candidates will be better. Position is based in Boston, but some travel may be required.

Profile:

· 10 years of work experience in IT development and delivery

· Experience in customer-facing environments, with daily customer interaction, working with customers on-site

· Familiar with Agile practices

· Experience with both business and IT units

· Relevant industry expertise in any of the following a plus e.g. finance, insurance, retail, logistics, life sciences, government

Skills:

· Some experience with visual modeling

· Expert Java development skills (ability to create custom logic and integration)

· Understanding of JavaScript, XPath, CSS, HTML, OQL, and relational databases (e.g. Oracle, Postgres, MSSQL)

· Strong verbal and written communication skills

· Strong analytical skills; structured and methodical

o Visual modeling:

§ Setup database structures

§ Develop application workflows
§ Create integration interfaces via Web Services

§ Lay out user interfaces

o Understanding of development effort; communicate progress to customer and project manager

o · Deliberate decision making with respect to design and development of functionality within the context of the deliverable application

o · Documentation of either or, user manuals, (non-)functional application requirements, business processes, work flows, project plans and planning, systems architecture, etc.
